Review 2 - 3D Game Design Industry

The 3D video game that I have decided to review is EA's FIFA. I have decided to review this because the game looked like it would be fun to play and the game is based off of something in real life. The effects in the game were interesting and they looked as real as it could be considering that the game is animated. Another reason that I chose this game was because I liked the fact that they had real players come into a studio and then they animated each of the players and made them into characters. It showed technique and skill to be able to replicate the professionals' faces with different emotions because of the situation.

Technology is allowing the creators of this game to capture motion of actual soccer players and see how they move in real life and then transfer that into the game. It allows the players and the directors to see how they are going to be moving in the game. That way the game flows more smoothly and the actions of the characters aren't robotic, which means EA is able to give the consumer the best result possible. Technology allows actual fans of soccer and of the FIFA players to create the sounds that the spectators would make in the stands if they were at the game. Then using computer technology the creators can take those sounds and input them into the game itself. Thanks to the changes in technology and improvements these 3D video games can be even more realistic, fun, and better to play. The better the technology the cleaner and neater the animation and motions which makes the playing of game nicer for the game player.

The design professionals worked together to make sure that everything got done that needed to get done. They worked as a team and used different genres of design to create a realistic game for fans to play. Sound design is added in to get the correct sound effects in the background when an action happens. Also the spectators in the stands make noises that have to be captured in a studio and then added into the game.  Animation designers have to take the actual movements of the players in real life and then they have to make those moves accurate and smooth in the game play. When these different types are used together it makes the game more fun and more realistic, as you wouldn't go to a soccer game where everyone was sitting in the stands like statues.

I think that it would be very interesting to work in a setting and 3D environment like the one that creates the EA games. It seemed like the people were very supportive and the area itself was nice. I think that it would be fun to work with helping to create and add the sounds to video games in a place like this studio. However I don't think that this is a career that I see myself doing. While I find sound design fun to try and interesting when you think about what it is used for I don't think that I could do it as a career. I'm currently not really interested in doing something that has a lot to do with computers or animation for a possible job choice.
