Original Audio Files

Bells Your browser does not support the audio element. This piece was the latest piece I had created in LMMS. I had been thinking about how I made so many covers and recreated so many other songs and hadn't done too much of my own stuff. That was why I decided that I need to create something else that was my own tune and ideas. I came up with bells just by messing around with different sounds.  Drum Line Your browser does not support the audio element. For this piec e I took inspiratio n f rom the  drum line at pep band performances. My second favorite instrume nt  in a band is the pe rcussion section and my favorite part o f the percussion  is either the quads or the snares. Since the drum line  brings in the rest of the band for pep band I wanted to create something in a similar style that  was  based off of something from pep band . Cover Audio Files

Fur Elise Your browser does not support the audio element. This was one of the very first projects that I ever created in LMMS. Fur Elise is my favorite classical song, and it is also the very first song that I tried to learn on the piano, so I felt the need to at least try to recreate it for one of my projects. Since it was one of my first projects I was still figuring out how some of the different tools worked and I was trying out different things seeing if I could get it to sound more like an actual classical piece.  Glee Theme Your browser does not support the audio element. One of my favorite television shows is Glee which was on from 2009 to 2015. Glee covered over 600 songs from the beginning of the show to the end, and I have so many favorite covers that there was no way I could pick one song to recreate in LMMS. Instead I decided to remake what was considered the glee theme, it is played during most of the credits and sometimes other parts of the show....

Review 4 - Brand Designs & Designers

Image
The designer that I have chosen to review is Santiago Calatrava. His work interested me because of the building were unique and fun to look at. He was born in Valencia, Spain in 1951, before going to the School of Arts and Crafts in 1968. He graduated as a qualified architect at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valencia in Spain, and then became a qualified civil engineer at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule in Zurich, Switzerland. He has been awarded multiple design awards and best project awards. He designed: Chicago Spire Tower, The Tower DCH in Dubai, World Trade Center Transportation Hub, Peace Bridge in Calgary, and Adan Martin Auditorio de Tenerife in Santa Crud de Tenerife to name a few things that he has done.  The common theme of style that most of this artist's work has in common is throughout all the large building there are some curved sides and bent shapes. The buildings aren't just boxes that go straight up into the air, there are unique ...

Review 3 - CGI Film Review

Image
The CGI short film that I have chosen to review is Portal No Escape which was produced by Cathleen Alexander, Stephen Hens, and Ashley Adams. The very first thing that got my attention when I watched this was the setting of the film and the character. There is a woman in what is a small room surrounded by walls with seemingly no door and no windows. It made me wonder why this woman is in this place and what happened prior to this event. The thing that made me the most interested in watching was how when the main character broke out of the room with a portal gun was the depth of the portal. The portals seemed to go on forever and appeared to be surrounded by a ring a fire and ice, two different materials, that added to the depth and how interesting they looked. The role of technology in this film is to make the viewer think that the portals are real so people believe that it is possible and will wonder where the person is going to end up. Then towards the endthe main character reaches w...

Review 2 - 3D Game Design Industry

Image
The 3D video game that I have decided to review is EA's FIFA. I have decided to review this because the game looked like it would be fun to play and the game is based off of something in real life. The effects in the game were interesting and they looked as real as it could be considering that the game is animated. Another reason that I chose this game was because I liked the fact that they had real players come into a studio and then they animated each of the players and made them into characters. It showed technique and skill to be able to replicate the professionals' faces with different emotions because of the situation.  Technology is allowing the creators of this game to capture motion of actual soccer players and see how they move in real life and then transfer that into the game. It allows the players and the directors to see how they are going to be moving in the game. That way the game flows more smoothly and the actions of the characters aren't robotic, which me...

Review 1 - Advertisement / Promotional Design

Image
Introduction I choose the advertisement of Century Link - The Power to Connect. I chose this advertisement to review because when you first start watching it the screen is immediately split left and right with two different images. The video then proceeds with the two different views of the world and how things are different in different locations. On the left side there is life in the city with people moving around by either walking or on a bus with different locations you would find in the city. Then on the right side of the screen you have a more rural life, with dirt paths and bikes on what appears to be a farm. How in different places people's lives are different but they are intertwined, and how even though it's different it's still home to different people . Message C ommunicated   The message that is being communicated is that Century Link has been helping people connect for over 80 years, and that how to is helping people all over the country. From coast to co...
